I wrote 'Rik's Bikes' a couple of months ago for two friends of mine who made the brave move to open a bike shop in the middle of a pandemic whilst recovering from a spinal operation with a seven month old in tow... I wanted to write something joyful to mark their one year anniversary and to celebrate how amazing I think they both are. They are big Americana fans so I dusted off the ol' banjo, channelled a little 'high lonesome sound' and wrote them a song.
